GITA was launched by Hon'ble Minister for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Mr. Kapil Sibal as Chief Patron. Dr. T Ramasami, Secretary, Department of Science & Technology is Chairman with Mr. KV Kamath, MD, ICICI and President, Confederation of Indian Industry as Co-Chair. Overall initiatives are being led by Mr. YP Kumar, Advisor & Head (International Cooperation Division), DST and CEO, GITA and Mr. Anjan Das, Senior Director, CII and Head - Technology, GITA. Management & implementation of S&T programmes, initiative development and coordination of activities are currently being done by a team of three professionals.
