INNO INDIGO: India-EU Innovation Workshop

INNO INDIGO: India-EU Workshop was organized by GITA during 16-17 December, 2015. INNO INDIGO which is a so-called ERA Net project funded by the European Commission (EC) under its 7th Framework Programme for Research and Innovation mainly aims to implement transnational Indo-European Joint Calls for Proposals for research projects. One main focus is the involvement of SMEs/ Industries as well as Clusters/ Networks of Excellence/ Competence.

Within this framework, INNO INDIGO partners developed an Innovation Roadmap study report that built on analytical work performed on SMEs and Industries, Clusters in EU & India. Through online surveys, desk research, validation workshops and interviews of SMEs, Industries and Clusters in EU & India, the partners together collated and extracted recommendations and input for the Innovation Roadmap study report. Building on the recommendations emerged from the roadmap and the interviews, the India-EU Innovation Workshop was held to work together with clusters, SMEs, researchers, industries and funding agencies to validate and comment towards the INNO INDIGO India-EU joint call structure to improve it and further enhance the collaboration between science and industry.

The participating SMEs, clusters, industries, researchers and funding agencies from EU & India also had the opportunity to participate in Business-to-Business (B2B) and Cluster-to-Cluster (C2C) meetings during the Confederation of Indian Industry’s 21st Technology Summit & Expo on the 17th December.
